Our Silences is a monumental sculpture installation which addresses individual self-censorship, as a fundamental human right: freedom of speech. In every city where it is presented, the work of art acquires a different meaning by establishing contextual relationships with the local architecture, culture, society and history.
Our Silences comprises ten great format anthropomorphic pieces (3.50 x 2.20 x 1.10 m, weighting approximately a ton each) made with lost wax bronze technique, and white, ochre patina. It also includes the Touch Box, a cubic sculpture made of iron which contains four small format pieces based upon the monument figures; though they were specially created for persons with visual disability. These four pieces also allow the ludic experience to any observer.
